While Universal Orlando has yet to announce the opening date of it’s newest attraction, Hollywood Rip ride Rockit, they did say that it should be ready to open sometime in the late spring/early summer. however, one radio station in South Florida has released a promotional schedule and have mentioned a date and time they will be broadcasting from universal studios.
WPOW, Power 96, has told their listeners that Lucy Lopez would be broadcasting from the park on July 3rd, as they "celebrate the Grand Opening of their new Roller coaster Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit!." This information comes courteously of VHS on the IOACentral forums. While this is not confirmed, it does match with previous rumors that Rockit could be ready in time for the busy July 4 weekend. In other news since completion of Rockit’s track Universal Orlando has released two new photographs showing off two signature elements. The treble clef maneuver featured track that is bent into the shape of the music symbol. The maneuver also bursts through a building facade, sending riders roaring through New York City. The Double Take is a signature move where riders experience a loop without ever going completely upside-down, It is the worlds first non inverting loop.
